I guess these are words that are especially important to me. Cos since young, I feel that I am very ugly. I dunno why. Mebe it is just begin surrounded by so many pretty gals, who use their beauty as a mean to impress, to gain favoritism and nonetheless to hurt.

Our generation seems to be one that stresses so much on beauty. So much on losing weight. I guess the media has a huge role to play in this cult.

But I think after leaving high school, things start to get better. Perhaps, it is greater maturity and also leaving the high school period where popularity and beauty seems to be ever so blatant, so emphasized and so pathetic.

Anyway, my point is

"Every woman can be beautiful. It all begins by believing in your own beauty."

Rainy Sunday

Some updates on little happenings on my life:

1) Abstract for conference got rejected. =( How how? Felt sad. Hmm... my supervisor was very nice actually, trying to console me by saying that a lot more people sent in to the conference this year, making it much more competitive.

2) Learning aerobics, three more lessons to the end of the course: I think overall the class is not bad lah. Offer me something to do on a otherwise boring sunday. And get to do some exercises to relax the mind and train the body. The lessons is conducted at the community center two minutes walk away from my house so it is very convenien too. The stretching at the end of the workup helps to train up muscles too. The only thing that I want to complain about is the extremely loud music. It makes me feel like i am in a pub/club rather than doing exercises.

3) Attachment will end on the 30th of June. After that, i will be pretty free so friends, haha, please feel free to get this lazy turtle out of the house. =)

4) Some reflection: Upon a little reflection, I feel that I have not been conducting myself in the way i would like to be. Feel that I have been complaining too much, working too little, thinking too little and using a lot of harsh words recently. Hmmm.... think I should start showing more self discipline and to learn to control my temper.

5) Got my american visa: This is worth writing about as it is certainly not easy for me to get it. At my first attempt, my application was rejected as the scan on my left index finger showed that my finger does not have enough features. This is due to the fact that my left hand is very dry and suffered from some physical corrosion. I was asked to come back again after my hand recover. This is extremely unappealing as I had to queue for another two hours again. I almost wanted to quarrel with the american officer at the embassy.
Luckily my second attempt was successful after I produced a medical letter from the doctor explaining my hand condition. =)

6) Meeting up with a friend who came to eat supper near my house: It was a pleasant surprise to receive an msg from xb saying that she was near my house eating supper. Oh I went down loh and we had a good although short chat.

7) Yilin going to teach in TJC!! Hehe.. congrats to her!!
