Happy Birthday to myself!!

Today is my birthday. So I guess it is time to do some reflection on the previous year. Previous year is my 21st year on this nice and beautful planet, Earth.

Guess I should first do a recollection of what happened last year. Last year is my final academic year in Cornell. After a bad year marked with housemates' issues, I had decided to move to stay by myself in a little room is Valentine's main building. Moving was a chore. But I got settled in pretty soon and pretty happy. Unexpectedly within a week, my good friend, JY, wanted to switch apartments with me. She has two housemates, FY and SY.

Although I was quite hesitant initially, I decided that it is best for the two of us to switch rooms. On hind sight now, I think it is really the best move I have ever made in my entire Cornell domestic life. FY and SY are both very wonderful people and it is great for a self-centred me to learn how to live with existent housemates. We cooked together, watched television, movies, did tons of hanging out and talking crap. It was a GREAT experience. Really thankful for all that!!

Must mentioned what I learned from my housemates. Hmm.. what i learn from FY... the virtue of being realistic, and not get carried away by emotions. In this way, more constructive things will be done and I will not get sad over mundane things that do not contribute much to me in the long run. She also has a very happy outlook on life and this is infectious. Overall, I think staying with her makes me much happier. And I should always keep a part of her in me. I shall call him fuyuness... haha... sounds a bit like foolishness actually.

About SY!! Haha.. I used to call him my dad cos he can cook so well. Hmmm... actually the logic seems to be flaw in the above sentence. But irregardless lah. . . I have converted him into the best Singaporean-speaking Korean. haha!! And he has converted fuyu and I to the most kim chee eating chinese women. Haha. He is a cute guy (when he cut his hair) When he doesn't, he looks like he just came to civilization from the only patch of untouched land on Earth. Or you can also describe him as a rugged Da Xia who has a really sad life story.

I am really glad that I had this two housemates. Now the three of us are at different parts of the world. SY is currently serving the korean army and FY is having her holidays in China. Tan Turtle hahah.. which is me, is at tropical island Singapore.

Okie. that is all for today. =)
