Lost Mail?

My letter of accpetance to harvard was not received.

How could that be possible? The address was written correctly and the letter was placed in the to "other countries" box.

How come it did not reach harvard?

I am getting worried.

All my letters to harvard did not reach. There must be a systematic error somewhere which I cannot figure out.

sooooooooooooooooooooooo weird....

getting very worried.

An MC day

I got fever and headache. Hence took an mc and stayed at home for the entire day.

Realize that it actually feels good to have a quiet day at home. So nice. My fever subsided in the morning and my headache is much better in the afternoon. So I hv time to just sit down and reflect and to just rot, read newsweek.

Watched lots of television too.

The headlines: "Protests in Thailand heightened, demanding Thaksin to step down."

Read an updated newsweek which I got from the library on sunday:

The headlines: "Hamas rose to victory in elections. US and Israel employing dollar policy to force the Hamas government to accept Israel"
Another headlines: "Muslim protestors burnt down houses and cars in France."

Went to clinic, read a newspaper while waiting to see doctor
"Ma Yin Jiu urged China to stop pressuring taiwan"

Hmmm...

I remembered that during a soka meeting that I had in the states, a soka member brought out the fact that after sep 11, she noticed that the world is becoming an unsafe place and that it is hard to achieve world peace."

She also said that she began to question how can an individual like her contribute to peace. Her conclusion is that she will try to make peace with people around her. When there are disputes, she will try to solve it in a nice way. And she will try to be friendly to everyone.

At that point, I was quite touched with what she said. Because she is very right. If you cannot even have peace around you, how can there be peace in the world stage. After all, the world stage is but a macro reflection of the neighbourhood situation which is a macro reflection of a family situation.

Perhaps "peace starts at home" just like how "courtesy starts at home" too.

Now as I reflected upon what she said at that time. I began to feel that mebe this is why exactly there is no world peace. As I look at my neighbours, my workplace and even my family, I realize how hard it is just to achieve peace around me.

For years, my neighours living upstairs had been giving us problems.

For years, I did not really like my aunts and my grandma thinking that they are biased against me.

For this year, there are many challenges at the workplace.

Hmm.... there is indeed a long way towards peace. (in the world, in the neighbourhood, at the workplace, in the family and last but not the least, within oneself.)

Working Life

I realize that working life is not meant to be a bed of roses. There are bound to be obstacles and problems. And bound to have people, who u feel are not deserving, that gets all the credit and become successful.

I also dunno how to console or motivate myself at this point.

But I guess the end is not yet that near. Hopefully I can use this three months to get some good results and prove to myself that i can do it.

Not till e end, u will never know who is successful.

Hihi: pasta and me = no relevance. haha

Yingling commented that I should blog more. Hehe.. good to know that I have some supporters for my blog. Haha.. so I shall not disappoint them and I should start my usual dose of chattering and ranting again.

I went to Pasta Cafe for dinner yesterday. It is at Takashimaya, opposite Mos burger. I am beginning to like Pasta. Hmm... although as my departure to the states draws near, I think I might abstained from pasta, burgers and western food again.

Actually mebe Pasta are nice, just that those pasta that I cook are not nice. Haha... I think another reason is that I dun like the tomato sauce that I get from Wegmans. Hmm... mebe when I go back to the states, I should start looking for better spaghetti sauces.

I ate spaghetti ala Japanese yesterday. As usual, my choice of pasta will always have seafood in it. The spaghetti is not bad, taste very american chinese. Haha.. i think they fried the spaghetti in some japanese sauce that is slightly salty. Hmm.. next time I can fry my spaghetti too. (haha.. sadly in oyster sauce. =P, okok, i will get some japanese fish sauce, teriyaki sauce too.)

Other stuffs that are going on... hmm... I see some hope in my hands healing. Hopefully i will not scratch it in my sleep. As long as i can dun scratch it for 3 more weeks, i think it can completely heal.
